Development
Modern life is hectic, children, work, family issues, finances, keeping up with what you’re supposed to be doing, looking after your health, hobbies, friends, and those dreams that you keep postponing for one reason or another…hours whizz by, another weekend comes and goes, weeks turn into months, your child has another birthday. Your phone is buzzing with messages…you cook dinner, squeeze in a quick walk with the dog and catch up with your parents. Life goes on. Your intentions are good, you write lists and vaguely plan things in your head but somehow, they don’t seem to happen all that often. You’d like to slow down a bit, have more time for the people who matter most to you, take a holiday, have time for something creative – like writing that book you’ve been talking about for ages…
There are 100 different reasons why people stay in a situation or a routine that they are not truly happy with: bad habits, family expectations, outdated beliefs, a lack of support, not knowing what to do and being too tired to figure it out, needing a sounding board…
Is it time for a change?
There are many reasons why someone might think about working with a Coach for their life or business. Some of the more common ones are:
- Career Stagnation: You are concerned about not being able to advance in your career at the pace you desire.
- Lack of Personal Fulfilment: Despite your efforts, you feel that you aren’t truly satisfied with where you are in life.
- Meaningful Relationships: Your worry about being vulnerable or setting healthy boundaries. You want deep and meaningful rather than surface level connections and unreliable interactions.
- Balancing Personal and Professional Life: Juggling between personal needs and professional responsibilities often leaves you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.
- Personal Well-being: You are concerned about your mental and emotional well-being amidst the stresses of life.
- Unexpected Difficulties: You suddenly were made redundant, or someone close to you died and you don’t think you are coping very well.
- Artistic Recognition: You would like to achieve recognition for your artistic pursuits, perhaps through gallery exhibitions or performances but don’t know where to start.
- Fear of Not Being Good Enough: You have a persistent fear that you are not good enough, competent enough, or worthy of love and respect
- Career change: You want or need to do something else but lack the confidence.
- Fear of Disapproval: You fear that prioritizing your needs might lead to disapproval from friends, family, and society.
- Future Uncertainties: You have uncertainty about the future and where your current path is leading, this causes you a great deal of anxiety.
- And many more…
The world is not how it used to be, everything is faster, we are interconnected yet somehow more isolated than we ever were. Families are spread out over the country or world, and your friends mean well, but don’t always understand or say the right thing when you talk about how you feel. Maybe you have support, but you lack resources or confidence? Maybe you’re just stuck. There are many factors that go into making a significant change in your life – and the reality is that modern life doesn’t necessarily meet all of them.
In a nutshell, Coaching is: “A collaborative solution-focused, results-orientated and systematic process in which the coach facilitates the enhancement of work performance, life experience, self-directed learning and personal growth of the coachee.”
You may not want to do deep therapeutic work. You would rather focus on what is happening right now. You may have a difficulty or some sort and want to resolve it. You have a stubborn creative block, an office conflict or you are distracted by the behaviour of someone else. You might just need a sounding board for an idea that you have.
If you need:
- A better work/life balance
- A better way to manage your stress
- Time and space to explore difficult decisions
- A sounding board
- A promotion
- Help with strategy development
- To overcome blind spots
- To find your purpose again
- Improve your relationship
- To increase your level of confidence
- To overcome procrastination once and for all
then Coaching with Logosynthesis can help you.
How does Coaching for Development work?
We will use a series of sessions to assess your current situation, explore the factors that contribute to your issue; and then create a detailed action plan to resolve what prevents you from moving forward as you would like to.
You have three sessions a month where we’ll review your progress, resolve any issues that came up since your last session, and plan your next steps.
The process is a mixture of practical steps in the real world, accessing resources and inner work that removes limitations and optimises your mind and emotions for what you want to achieve.

Healing
Everyone needs healing from something – just the wear and tear of everyday life can leave you feeling a bit beaten up or can knock your confidence over time. Sometimes, really bad things have happened and although you try not to dwell on them, you find yourself thinking about it more than you probably should, even though it happened a long time ago, it affects your life right now.
Coaching for mental health is an effective way to deal with these issues. Big trauma or little trauma it doesn’t matter. It is something painful and damaging to you and you want to feel better.
You want to stop thinking about what happened and you want your life back – sooner rather than later.
